Perched above the Rhone valley, Les Collons-Thyon 2000 is a small modern ski resort linked to neighbouring Verbier and the huge 4 Valleys ski area. Thyon 2000 is a favourite with families, as are the slopes of Mont Noble across the valley above Nax. 

Skiresort.info, the largest ski resort test portal in the world, has presented the ski resort 4 Vallées with 16 awards.

Further up the valley are the resorts of Evolène and Arolla. Arolla, with pistes up to almost 3000m, has a reputation for guaranteed snow.
